Students Impression in STEAM Project Based Learning in Online Classroom of Japanese Language Education

Abstract

The abstract. The aims for this study are to know student’s impression with the used of STEAM project-based learning in online classroom to improve students Japanese speaking skills ability. The method that use in this study is using descriptive qualitative method by using questionnaire as a data collection that gain from 23 students as a sample. The sample that use in this study is from second class of hotel accommodations in Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan Negeri 2 Cirebon city. The questionnaire shown that daily life of vocabulary can be implemented and related to learning lessons. Much of the students also said that they can easily motivated and understand the subject with the use of STEAM project-based learning. Because there is a discussion section in this learning method, students said that they can improve their Japanese communication skills, develop their creativity actively and more importantly students can gain much of confidence to speak with Japanese language.
With the good response that can be seen from questionnaire, STEAM project-based learning is shown as an positive learning method that can be used in variety of language education, such as Japanese language education to improve students Japanese speaking
skill ability.
